What this proves

A valid result proves that the exact manifest text was signed by the private key corresponding to the supplied public key.

What this does not prove

It does not establish that underlying events are true or complete, prove legal admissibility or attribution, or prove the source system was secure. Independently establish trust in the public-key fingerprint.
